Many auto parts stores and oil changing locations accept used oil for recycling. Call or visit stores like these in your area:
When you are doing a remodel of your home, many of the old items you are replacing, such as doors, kitchen cabinets, light fixtures, etc. can be reused. These items can be donated to a local Habitat for Humanity ReStore where they can be given new life in someone else’s home.
If the debris cannot be reused, many curbside trash haulers will accept this type of debris at the curb, sometimes requiring an extra fee. Residents also have the option of renting a dumpster or hauling the debris yourself to a local landfill or transfer station. All local landfills and transfer stations that accept regular household trash also accept construction & demolition debris.
Additionally, there is local landfill that accepts ONLY construction and demolition debris:
Lordstown Construction Recovery (formerly LaFarge)
6205 Newton-Bailey Road, Lordstown, OH
(330) 393-5656
This is a construction & demolition debris ONLY landfill (CD&D)
In addition to our Geauga & Trumbull Collection Facilities, that accept all electronics (including TVs) free of charge, some local businesses will accept some types of electronics. Call or visit their websites for information about the items they will accept and any fees they may charge.
When a flag is tattered, it should be destroyed in a dignified manner. A local Boy Scout Troop, VFW, American Legion Posts and other clubs may be willing to collect flags for proper disposal. You can also mail your tattered flag to a www.flagkeepers.org disposal organization.
(You can also check with your local waste company to see if they offer Commercial Customers hazardous waste removal.)

If you have only a few tires, most reputable tire sales businesses (Wal-Mart, Firestone, NTB, Wholesale Tire, etc.) will accept your used tires for disposal FOR A FEE. Contact a local business like this near you for their current pricing.
If you have a large quantity of tires to dispose of, contact one of the registered scrap tire transporters for your area (see below). Transporting more than 10 tires in a vehicle at a time requires a special license. Transporting more than 10 without this license is a felony.
