Scrap Tire Collection Dates & Times

When you buy new tires, recycle your old tires through your tire retailer at the time of purchase. The District provides funding to all the communities in the District however; some are only one-day events. Businesses should contact a licensed tire hauler for proper disposal.

The Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District awards funding to cities, villages, and townships to host scrap tire collections for residents of their community.

Each community’s government decides when, where, and how many tires they will accept in their collections.

If you have missed your community’s free tire collection, you can take scrap tires to almost any reputable tire dealer and they will dispose of them for a fee. Check with a local tire dealer in your neighborhood for fees and limits.

Recycled tires can be used for:

Tire-derived fuel
Rubberized Asphalt
Floor Surfaces
Outdoor Surfaces
Railroad Ties
